Seth's Progeny Doing Super Things
Waikato Stud's rising star stallion, Super Seth, has celebrated back-to-back Group One victories in just seven days. Linebacker claimed the A$1 million Gr.1 The Agency Randwick Guineas (1600m) on Saturday, following Feroce’s triumph in the Gr.1 Australian Guineas (1600m) the previous week.

Both Linebacker and Feroce hail from the first crop of Super Seth, New Zealand’s leading first-season sire in 2023-24 and the current frontrunner among second-season sires in 2024-25. His progeny have already made a significant impact, with 28 winners, including six at stakes level—Feroce and Linebacker joined by La Dorada, Sethito, Poetic Champion, and Super Photon.

With such an impressive start to his stud career, Super Seth is quickly establishing himself as a premier stallion, and his progeny’s success signals an exciting future ahead.

We were absolutely delighted to secure a stunning Super Seth colt from Waikato Stud at the Inglis Classic Sale last month. Out of the well-related Savabeel mare Greedy, he boasts the same proven cross as La Dorada—the brilliant 2YO Karaka Million and Group 2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes winner.

Born in early August, this colt has the pedigree, presence, and early-maturing potential to make an immediate impact as a juvenile. Adding to the excitement, our breaker, Daniel Robinson, has already singled him out as one of our standout yearlings of the year—a testament to the colt’s quality and natural ability.

We have very limited shares available- email racing@championthoroughbreds.com.au for more info!
