This colt rated extremely well on cardio and genetics testing. This was hardly surprising after having inspected him. He is an imposing individual with great scope and leg. He has a presence about him that was evident at the Magic Millions sales and he was greatly admired not only by many buyers but also the staff of Arrowfield Stud, who in turn stand his sire, Animal Kingdom. They particularly noted the likeness between father and son. Our notes describe him as a well balanced horse with a great chest and good athleticism. He passed the vetting criteria and scoped well. He was our most expensive purchase for the sale and with good reason. Being able to acquire him was an outcome we were hoping for but not expecting, so to have secured him is a huge outcome for the company going forward. He is from one of the most exciting pedigrees in the stud book and we are proud to offer him to our clients.

He is by the first season sire Animal Kingdom who was rated Joint Head of the 2013 World Thoroughbred Rankings and he was Champion 3yo colt of the USA in 2011 having won 5 races from 1700m to 2000m including the Kentucky Derby and the Dubai World Cup.

His dam is Line Honours (Hussonet), who was a metropolitan winner in Sydney in her own right, but is a daughter of the Champion 3yo Filly in Australia in 2004/5 in Alinghi (Encosta De Lago), who herself won 11 races, 4 as a 2yo, including 3 Gr1 races and finished 3rd in the Golden Slipper. Line Honours is making waves of her own now as a broodmare having produced Regatta Rebel (her first foal) who is already stakes placed having finished 3rd in the Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes as a 2yo and 3rd in the Gr3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic. Her second foal, a 2yo named Extra Olives, happened to win her very first race start during the week of the Magic Millions sales over 1100m.

We are seeing speed being passed on from Line Honours which will blend well with Animal Kingdom. Alinghi herself won from 900m to 1700m, so there is no doubt this colt will have scope to run from sprint distances up to a mile and perhaps further. It is the same family that has produced Beneteau who proved a great source of early speed from his limited time at stud.
