Knock Toff Repays Owners Patience With Gosford Win

Knock Toff's owners were rewarded for their persistence and patience after the four year old gelding provided them with a maiden win at Gosford on Thursday. The son of Toorak Toff has been plagued with injuries and set backs since he was a two year old but his ability shone through with a convincing performance over 1100m. Knock Toff was having his second career start after finishing 4th on debut at the same track and distance three weeks ago. With Tye Angland back in the saddle, he began well from barrier 2 and trailed the odds on favourite BYZANTIUM before challenging him at the 400m and kicking clear to win by 1.3 lengths.

"It was a well deserved win for the connections of Knock Toff, he's a nice horse who has shown good ability, so to get his maiden win out of the way is fantastic" commented trainer John O'Shea after the race.

Knock Toff was purchased at the 2015 Magic Millions yearling sale from the Rosemont Stud Draft and is owned by Champion Thoroughbreds, Mr D W Willis, Mrs J S Willis, Palya Bloodstock Pty Ltd, Mr D J Gibson, Mr G C Green, Mr D H Long.
