Bravo, Bravado!

It was a 'watch with one eye closed' effort from Bravado (Toronado) in the last of the day at Scone's feature meeting on Friday when he came from the clouds to record his second career win in a class 2 over 1300m. Drawn the widest gate, Bravado was near last on the home turn, some 10 lengths off the leader when he stormed down the outside to just pip the Chris Waller trained Papal Warrior on the line.

"He still doesn't know what racing is about" declared jockey Brenton Avdulla after the win. "I think the addition of the winkers was a great decision by John because it just had him a bit more focused"

It was a rewarding win for his ownership group after a frustrating delay to the start of his preparation due to a few setbacks. Friday's win took his career earnings to over $60k from just 6 starts. He'll now be aiming to break the the $100k mark when he lines up in a 3YO BM72 at Randwick in a fortnight's time.

Congratulations to his large team of owners Mr G Seto, Ms V L Sheils, Martin Thoroughbred Racing, Mr P Soulakellis, R B R Bloodstock, Mr J A Denny, Mr M E J Mcintyre, Mr S D Bathis, Mrs D L Fisher, Mr J G Codner, Lotave, Mr H Bayliss, Mr S J Brown, Mr G Lamont, Ms M J M Lambert, Mr M Voulgaris, Ledra Pty Ltd & the Sedgewyn syndicate.
